Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis created more than just art and music. For almost the entire ten-year period of his artistic activity, he never let go of his pen, trying his hand at literature.

Čiurlionis wrote in Polish and did not publish his work. The author of this book – one of the most important researchers of Čiurlionis’ legacy, musicologist and art historian, professor Vytautas Landsbergis – translated and restored this work using reconstruction and special editing methods, using known originals, translations and other sources. Thus, in this book, the “third Čiurlionis” – the writer – is revealed to us.
