A photo album of excellent aesthetic and technical (photographed on 100x120 mm plates) quality. The images in the book are grouped into four themes: – Vilnius: the city of the center of Europe, – landscape: landscapes of the earth and sky, – cities and towns: the legacy of Christianity, manors and merchants, – Curonian Spit: “The breathtaking primeval grandeur…”. Each theme begins with an introductory essay. The section dedicated to Vilnius contains exterior and interior photos of the city’s most famous architectural monuments, street views, and panoramas. The landscape section contains natural and cultural landscapes, major attractions. The section on cities and towns contains images of Kaunas, Kėdainiai, towns and church villages, manors and churches. The album concludes with exotic photos of the Curonian Spit.
