Rimantas Šulskis

This extensive presentation of the work of the famous Lithuanian sculptor Rimantas Antanas Šulskis provides a detailed and broad overview of his work. The album, published by order of the Sculptor Rimantas Šulskis Foundation, contains almost 200 sculptures, engravings and drawings, allowing us to trace the artist’s broad and highly innovative connection with man and original animalistic creatures. Rimantas A. Šulskis is best known for his exceptional figurative compositions created during the Soviet Union era, among which a series of anthropomorphic birds and expressive, monumental high-reliefs dominate. This album also pays great attention to and explores his lesser-known areas of work – drawings and engravings, which, in addition to his sculptural work, highlight the artist’s other talents as an exceptional painter and graphic artist. Special attention is paid to the work of R. A. Šulskis in his studio, which allows us to better understand the artist’s creative process.
