The catalog was prepared for the exhibition from the collections of the Drenthe Museum in Assen. The book tells about the development of two styles in the Netherlands. Two groups of the second golden age are discussed: the first one originated in Delft and Hague, the second one in Amsterdam. The Arts and Crafts movement influenced by international styles and national traditions is presented in detail by discussing the achievements of key Dutch artists, designers, and manufactories.
