Albinas Elskus, an artist famous in the USA and England, but little known in Lithuania, was born in 1926 in Kaunas and died in 2007 in the USA. In his 50 years of work, he has created numerous stained glass windows, sculptures, and mosaics that adorn over a hundred American and Canadian churches. Many of his paintings on glass are kept in museums and private collections. The richly illustrated monograph chronologically presents the creative path of A. Elskaus from his studies in Kaunas with Stasys Ušinskas, Freiburg School of Art, and stained glass studies in Chicago and New York. In the United States, A. Elskus is considered one of the most prominent glass artists today.
