"The lumberer is popularly called "dročius", a person who cuts the wood into lumber. A log was placed on two "goats" (scaffolding) and a man standing on it pulled the saw up. The saw was pulled down by an assistant called "gizelis" or some weight tied to the end of the tool, such as a sandbag or a massive stone. Some kind of gifted individual came up with the idea for this kind of toy, which was brightly painted and placed near a baby's nursery, so the mother could get a minute of rest," said J. S. Stanevičius, the author of the toy sculpture.
